LockersAll the parks have lockers available to store items. Walt Disney World allows you to carry a backpack on all the rides but Universal Orlando and SeaWorld require storage of all loose articles on most of their major rides. Universal’s lockers are not large (a larger full backpack will not fit) so keep this in mind when you pack for the day.
Walt Disney WorldExcept at the water parks, lockers are not required. Lockers are available if you need to store items that you do not want to carry around all day. Check the park map for locker locations. At Walt Disney World, you can take your backpack on every ride.
Universal Studios and Islands of AdventureYou are required to put your all loose items (hats, sunglasses, backpacks, etc.) in a locker on most major rides. The locker is fee for a certain period of time that usually corresponds with the ride wait time plus the ride length time. After that allotted time is over, there is a charge of $3.00 an hour in order to get your items out of the locker. If you want to ride a second time, you can remove your items out of the first locker before the free time expires and put your items in a second locker. Then the second locker will be free for the posted time. Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure lockers accept cash or credit cards. Exception: Rip Saw Falls at Islands of Adventure. There is no free locker time at this ride. The lockers cost $4.00 for the first 90 minutes at this location. Tip: Since you have to pay for the locker at Rip Saw Falls, and if you have time remaining, go ahead and ride Popeye and Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges while your items are stored at the Rip Saw Falls lockers. We can usually ride both rides in the 90 minute allotment of time.
Tip: Tap your fingernail, not the tip of your finger, on the locker touch screen when making selections. SeaWorldBecause you cannot ride Manta, Journey to Atlantis or Kraken with any loose items, you will need to store them in the one-time use lockers at each ride for a small fee. The current rate is 50 cents for a small locker and $1.00 for a large locker. Be sure to carry several dollars in quarters with you to this park if you plan to ride any of these rides and need to store items. SeaWorld also has lockers behind Shamu's Emporium that you can access more than one time for a higher fee.
